Information Centre
This is the best stop for all your information on the Warrumbungle
National Park. With Aileen behind the desk she will be able to give you
all the information about the park from where to picnic as to where the
best walks are.
Stock up on drinks, ice-creams and souvenirs before you leave. There is
a wealth of information on how the Warrumbungle Mountains came to be as
well as the different flora and fauna.

Siding Spring Observatory The Siding Spring Observatory is open to the public each day. The
Exploratory Centre has a hands on exhibition with interactive games and
displays, a great science gift shop and cafeteria and from the gallery
of the 3.9 metre telescope you can see the workings of this giant in
science research.

Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre
Set in landscaped grounds with picnic, barbecue facilities and clean
public toilets this is the main spot for picking up detailed information
on Coonabarabran and it's attractions. You will also have the chance of
viewing the Australian Museum's display of the Giant Diprotodon.
This is the opportunity to purchase your maps and souvenirs.

Craggy Peaks and spires to climb, hungry kangaroos and grumpy Koalas to
meet. The Warrumbungle National Park covers an area of 21,004 hectares.

This magnificent Leadlight Workshop and Art Gallery, set in the
beautiful Warrumbungle Mountains, near Coonabarabran.
It is a showcase to promote both the art produced in our region and our
unique environment. Feel free to browse the gallery with no obligation

painting.
The leadlight displayed in the windows and lights are examples of her

Skywatch Observatory
So you've visited the gallery of the 3.9 metre telescope and seen the
workings of it, but what about actually looking through a telescope and
seeing the Universe?
With experienced guides, this is your chance to have a gaze and see
what's out there. Skywatch currently have different specials through the
year. From Mars to Jupiter the Moon to Uranus it's only a matter of
jumping aboard the bus.
For those who would rather keep their feet and minds firmly planted on
the ground why not try your luck at Astro Mini Golf, as far as we know
this is the only Astronomical themed golf course in the world ... not to
mention the Universe.
